This ring is sized around the design and size of the original spoon. The spoon rings are made from a whole spoon and the handle/decorative/hallmark part moves round as you make the ring bigger or smaller and would therefore look different from the photos. We size them so they look their best!
As the spoons used are vintage or antique, they have had a previous life and been used for what they were originally made for. Therefore they may shows some signs of their previous use and have some minor imperfections which add to their unique charm.
Spoon rings were first made in the 17th century England as wedding gifts by servants who could not afford expensive precious metals. Servants would steal a silver spoon from their master and have it turned into a wedding ring to be worn on the thumb of their true love.
